Your nerves are getting to you, and your heart is pounding. An uncomfortable feeling begins to creep in. Questions start swirling in your mind. The room is filled with people who aren’t like you, and the awkwardness weighs you down. It may begin to feel like the room is closing in, and you sense that you’re the elephant in it.
